What I do

How I Can Support Your Paid Media Team

The day-to-day work a paid media team needs handled properly and on time.

01

Google Ads

Campaign setup, keyword research, ad group structure, search terms review, and ongoing optimisation and monitoring.

02

Keyword Research

Finding high-intent keywords, organising keyword themes into clean ad groups, and building negative keyword lists.

03

Performance Reporting

Monitoring CTR, CPC, conversions, CPA, ROAS and other key PPC metrics — and turning them into a report someone can act on.

04

Conversion Tracking

GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Meta Pixel / CAPI fundamentals.

05

Audience & Competitor Research

Competitor ad and landing page analysis, audience research, and targeting support for new and existing campaigns.

06

Campaign Operations

Budget pacing, campaign documentation, QA checklists, spreadsheets and recurring reporting.

Selected work

PPC Work & Practical Experience

Selected projects covering campaign management, conversion tracking, research and reporting. Performance figures appear only where the underlying work supports them.
01Local trades — Electrical contractor

Electrician campaign management and restructure

ObjectiveManage and restructure search campaigns for a residential and commercial electrical contractor.
What I didSplit campaigns by service line — emergency callouts, panel upgrades, rewiring, EV charger installation and commercial maintenance; rebuilt ad groups around single service intent; ran weekly search terms reviews and expanded the negative list; adjusted bids and budgets between emergency and planned-work campaigns by time of day; wrote responsive search ads per service leading on licensing and response time; monitored budget pacing through the month.
ToolsGoogle AdsKeyword PlannerGoogle Sheets
Key insightEmergency and planned electrical work behave nothing alike. Emergency searches peak after hours and at weekends; panel upgrades and EV installs happen during business hours after days of research. Once they were separated into their own campaigns with their own schedules and budgets, each could be managed on its own terms instead of averaging into one blurry number.

Conversion tracking built and validated end to end

ObjectiveSet up conversion tracking that reports accurate, deduplicated leads.
What I didGA4 property configuration; GTM container build with triggers for form submissions, phone-number clicks and thank-you page views; Google Ads conversion import from GA4; call-duration threshold logic so short calls don't count; a validation pass comparing GTM Preview, GA4 DebugView and the Google Ads conversion columns.
ToolsGA4Google Tag ManagerGoogle AdsGoogle Sheets
Key insightThe first build double-counted conversions — the thank-you page trigger and the form-submission trigger both fired on the same lead. Deduplicating before launch is the difference between a report you trust and one you have to caveat.
03Ecommerce — competitive retail

Competitor ad and landing page teardown

ObjectiveUnderstand how the top advertisers in a category position themselves before writing ad copy.
What I didCollected live search and Meta ads for a set of competing advertisers; catalogued headline angles, offers, extensions and landing page structure; mapped which claims appeared repeatedly and which were unclaimed; produced a positioning gap summary and an ad copy recommendation sheet.
ToolsAds Transparency CentreMeta Ad LibraryGoogle Sheets
Key insightNearly every advertiser led on price or delivery speed. The unclaimed angle — returns and after-purchase support — was the one thing reviews showed buyers actually worried about. Competitor research is most useful for what nobody is saying.
04Reporting workflow

Weekly PPC reporting template and dashboard

ObjectiveBuild a weekly PPC reporting template an account manager could use without editing formulas.
What I didDesigned a Google Sheets model pulling campaign, ad group and search term data; built calculated fields for CTR, CPC, CPA and ROAS with tabular formatting; added week-over-week variance flags; created a Looker Studio dashboard with a summary page and a search terms drill-down; documented the refresh process so someone else could run it.
ToolsLooker StudioGoogle SheetsGA4Google Ads
Key insightThe useful part of a weekly report isn't the metrics — it's the variance flags. Highlighting what moved and by how much turned a page of numbers into a five-minute read.
